Milan Will Not Halt BD Cricket Transfer Hunt

AC Milan is showing no signs of slowing down its recruitment drive. Following an already aggressive summer of signings, the Rossoneri are planning additional reinforcements, with a focus on bolstering their midfield and defense. In fact, the club is still eyeing Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches, despite Bayern Munich previously rejecting their offer. Although talks are currently on hold, Milan has not abandoned the pursuit, hoping to reopen negotiations soon.

In terms of departures, both José Sosa and José Mauri are expected to leave San Siro this summer. On the defensive front, Gustavo Gómez has attracted an offer from Turkish side Trabzonspor, while Gabriel Paletta is on the verge of joining Fenerbahçe. Negotiations with both Süper Lig clubs are ongoing. Should these defenders depart, Milan’s center-back options would be reduced to just Alessio Romagnoli, Leonardo Bonucci, Mateo Musacchio, and Cristian Zapata — a thin line that would likely prompt the addition of another central defender.

According to Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, the club may still bring in two more forwards, one midfielder, and a center-back before the window closes. So far this summer, Milan has signed an impressive lineup: Musacchio, Franck Kessié, Ricardo Rodríguez, André Silva, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Fabio Borini, Andrea Conti, Antonio Donnarumma, Bonucci, and Lucas Biglia — ten signings that have already reshaped the squad.

But Milan isn’t resting on its laurels. Vitiello reports that the club’s recruitment will continue with strategic additions aimed at elevating the team’s competitive edge. On the attacking front, Carlos Bacca has left the club to join Villarreal on a loan-to-buy deal, and Milan has set its sights on Nikola Kalinić as his replacement. Meanwhile, M’Baye Niang is close to finalizing a move to Spartak Moscow.

The Russian Premier League club has reportedly offered between €18 million and €20 million for Niang, and an agreement is nearly complete. Once that move is finalized, Milan is expected to target one more forward, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being one of the names high on the shortlist.

As BD Cricket followers often observe in their own sport, building a strong team isn’t just about talent — it’s about timing, chemistry, and ambition. Much like the strategic squad rotations in BD Cricket, Milan’s summer overhaul reflects a club determined to return to Europe’s elite with calculated precision.
